Dr. Blake

Dr. Tom Blake, a Fort Wayne native, Snider High School graduate, and received his dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. His practice has ALWAYS been at 2409 Fairoak Drive where he has enjoyed serving as the “resident dentist” in Waynedale. He loves being a dentist and it is apparent when you walk in his office with the excellent staff that enjoys serving their patients.

Dr. Blake has taken literally thousands of hours of continuing education over his lifetime. Through this he has achieved a Fellowship in Implantology as well as General Dentistry. He is one of the few dentists in the state of Indiana to have graduated from the Kois Center in Seattle Washington. In addition, he has completed courses at the renown Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne Florida and The Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale Arizona where he serves as one of its mentors. He is a member of several advanced dental study clubs including: The Seattle Study Club, The Kois Club and a national club of dentists who study many different facets of dentistry from psychology to nutrition and wellness. Locally, he has been very active in the dental society having served as its president and as mentor to the Young Dentists Committee. He was instrumental in creating the website for the local society which has a public portal to help educate the residents of our community about oral health and other pertinent dental issues. He currently serves as the Indiana State Chairman for the Council on Communications.

Two of Dr. Blake’s passions involve his “pay it forward” attitude. He currently serves as the dental committee chair for our local Matthew 25 Clinic and is on its general board and executive board. He also is a practitioner in the clinic throughout the year. He is just as passionate about  Sonrisas Siempre, a tax exempt organization which he co-founded in 2009 which travels annually to Honduras to serve both the orphans and the poor of the area. In his leisure time, Tom likes to work out at the gym and enjoys most every related physical activity. He and his wife, Christy love to travel and are the proud parents of two sons and the grandparents of two granddaughters. Dr. Blake’s “bucket list” is an ongoing project, but climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and running a marathon have now been checked off of the list.

Truly a “people person,” he looks forward to meeting personally with his patients in a profession that he continues to love.
